Sometimes, it seems like kayaking trips have to take up multiple days and require at least a couple of weeks of planning. While that is fine for some trips, it can take the spontaneity and fun out of those everyday adventures. It doesn’t have to be that way!

At Justin Case Kayak, we are all about those everyday adventures and want to help make it easy to kayak whenever and wherever your sense of excitement takes you. Thankfully, the Justin Case Kayak is the perfect companion for those spur of the moment adventures.

You know those mornings you wake up and the only thing you want to do is get outside and spend some time in nature? We do too. Thankfully, there are plenty of gorgeous public parks with beautiful hiking trails and great bodies of water to explore. With all of the great waterways to explore, taking your kayak on your day trip is a great way to enhance your one-day adventure.

Getting ready for a day trip with a kayak isn’t a hassle with JCK. It’s portability and flexibility make it easy to throw in the car and take wherever you are going. While it’s not a problem to get your Justin Case Kayak to where you are going, there are a few things you need to check off your list before you hit the road.

First of all, check the weather for where you are going to by kayaking and adventuring. If it is going to be sunny and warm, pack your sunscreen and water. Cold and windy, make sure to prepare for cold water kayaking (you can reference our What to Wear Kayaking blog post for more details on this). If there will be wind and or rain, pack some water resistant gear just in case.

This is also a good way to prep for the day adventure ahead. Pack food and water. Get the dogs ready if you are bringing them. Pack swimsuits if you need them and get the car packed up. Don’t forget your Justin Case Kayak!

Next, check the rules for the body of water you are going to be kayaking on. This is something that you can easily check on your way down to the site thanks to smartphones. Make sure that kayaking is okay on the rivers, lakes, or beach you are going to be on. If you need to check in with a ranger, do that. We don’t want you to break any rules while adventuring. That would be a serious bummer.

Lastly, prepare to have fun! Day trips are supposed to be spontaneous and adventurous. We want to help you have the best adventures possible.

So go ahead and add a kayaking adventure into your next day trip.
